How do I get a Certificate of Registration?

How do I get a Certificate of Registration?

Companies manufacturing products regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration must register their facilities with FDA. Upon successful registration, FDA issues registration numbers but does not provide Certificates of Registration.  Despite this, many buyers or importers request confirmation from suppliers of their registration.

If your facility is already registered with FDA…

Registrar Corp can provide a third-party Certificate of Registration to serve as confirmation of your valid FDA registration to buyers, customs brokers, and suppliers.  We offer third-party Certificates of Registration for the following industries:

  • Certificate of U.S. FDA Registration for Food and Beverages
  • Certificate of U.S. FDA Registration for Drugs
  • Certificate of Registration for Cosmetics

Example of Registrar Corp’s Third-party Certificate of Registration

If your facility is not registered with FDA…

Registrar Corp can register facilities with FDA and act as their U.S. Agent for FDA communications.  This service includes a third-party Certificate of Registration.  Other benefits of our FDA registration service include FDA compliance monitoring of your facility, detention assistance, and more.

Export Certificates

Not to be confused with Certificates of Registration, FDA does offer different types of Export Certificates. Firms exporting products from the United States are often asked by foreign customers or foreign governments to supply an “Export Certificate” for products regulated by U.S. FDA. These certificates help verify that products meet FDA regulatory and marketing status. Registrar Corp can help you obtain your Export Certification from the FDA.

There are two different types of FDA Export certificates. A Certificate to a Foreign Government certifies that products can be marketed from the US.  A Certificate of Exportability certifies that the product meets the requirements of section 801(e)(1) of the Food Drug & Cosmetic Act.
