Seafood and Juice Importer Verification Programs
Seafood and juice importers are required to maintain and implement a Seafood or Juice Importer Verification Program that verifies the products that they import were processed in accordance with the Seafood HACCP regulations (21 CFR 123) or Juice HACCP regulations (21 CFR 120).
Failure to meet these requirements can result in FDA regulatory action against your firm, such as an issuance of a FDA Form 483, a warning letter, being placed on Import Alert, product recall, or other regulatory action.
Registrar Corp can help seafood and juice importers develop their Importer Verification Programs. As a part of our service, our Regulatory Specialists will provide:
- A ready-to-implement Seafood or Juice Importer Verification Program addressing the pertinent supplier and their product categories
- A cover letter explaining the Program’s development and advice for implementation and verification procedures
- An SOP explaining the activities and procedures necessary to meet the seafood or juice importer requirements.
- Guidance from one of our Regulatory Specialists for the duration of the service
- One additional program revision within 30 days of issuance of the initial Seafood or Juice Importer Verification Program, at no additional charge.
