Diese Woche beantworten wir eine Frage zu den FDA-Anforderungen, wenn ein Produkt als &#8220;Eis&#8221; bezeichnet wird.<\/p>\n<p><b>Frage: <\/b>Warum erlaubt die FDA, dass Eiscreme, die keine Sahne enth\u00e4lt aber Verdickungsmittel, Emulgatoren und k\u00fcnstlich verarbeitete Zutaten enth\u00e4lt, &#8220;Ice Cream&#8221; genannt wird? Margarine kann nicht als Butter bezeichnet werden. Wie kommt nun gef\u00e4lschte Eiscreme dazu &#8220;Ice Cream&#8221; genannt zu werden?<\/p>\n<p><b>Antwort:<\/b> Die FDA hat Identit\u00e4tsstandards f\u00fcr bestimmte Lebensmittelprodukte. Identit\u00e4tsstandards stellen Anforderungen an, wie ein Produkt hergestellt werden muss, und identifizieren Inhaltsstoffe, die ein Produkt enthalten kann und darf, um unter einem bestimmten Namen in den Verkehr gebracht zu werden.<\/p>\n<p>Die FDA hat einen <a title=\"FDA Standard of Identity: Ice Cream\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/cdrh\/cfdocs\/cfcfr\/CFRSearch.cfm?fr=135.110\">standard of identity for ice cream<\/a> (21 CFR 135.110). Gem\u00e4\u00df dem Standard ist Sahne eine optionale Zutat f\u00fcr Milchprodukte, daher muss ein Produkt keine Sahne enthalten, um als Eiscreme bezeichnet zu werden.
